Description: The Kisumu Extra Mural Center has been there since the inception of the Extra Mural Department and has been offering demand driven course since 1960s. The center was situated at Sifa House in Kisumu between 2000 and 2006 and by then it was only offering a number of certificate and diploma courses. Due to the demand of the courses offered by the center the University of Nairobi was forced to purchase the now former British Council Library where the center still has its offices till now.
